Mr. Lauro Guzman helps people who struggle with depression, anxiety and stress, and who are dissatisfied with their lives, particularly in their interactions with others.
Lauro helps people who are frustrated with patterns that keep playing out and who want to make meaningful and lasting change in their lives. They know an important shift needs to happen but are skeptical of general advise and prefer more than anecdotal support from others. Lauro uses cognitive-behavioral therapy as the preferred treatment model.
Experience
Lauro has over 24 years experience as a clinical social worker and has previously worked in various clinical settings including in hospital systems, and inpatient mental health facilities, and as a therapist with immigration and customs enforcement. He has worked as a clinical therapist for fourteen years, and has been in private practice as a psychotherapist since 2017.
Credentials and Licensure
Lauro is licensed as a independent Clincial Social Worker (LCSW). He is board certified with the American Board of Clinical Social Work as a Diplomat in Clinical Social Work (BCD). Lauro is currently licensed to practice as an LCSW in several states including Texas, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Delaware, District of Columbia, Massachusetts, Virginia, Maryland, and Florida.
